Welcome aboard this 8-day cruise from Athens to Dubrovnik, enjoying the glamour and history of the Mediterranean. Along the way, glimpse dramatic cliffs clustered with Greek villas, taste some of the freshest seafood in the world, or stroll cobblestone streets lined with bars, gelaterias, and boutiques. Stop in Itea and marvel at the ancient ruins in Delphi, in Corfu, to soak up the art and culture, and discover the historical medieval town of Kotor, Montenegro. Our cruise finishes in the majestic city of Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Athens, Greece
Your deluxe cruise begins in Athens, Greece, where you’ll be transferred to your Emerald Cruises luxury Raiya yacht and begin your journey along the Mediterranean. Once you’ve settled into your cabin and you have toured the ship to see its many onboard amenities, you’ll meet your fellow guests and Globe and Mail journalists as we host an onboard champagne welcome reception as we sail out of Athens harbour as we journey towards the Corinth Canal.

Itea, Greece
Wake up in the city of Itea, Greece where this morning you’ll experience your first Globe Insider Breakfast, where we review the daily newspaper headlines with Globe Editor-in-Chief, David Walmsley, followed by a Globe Journalist Talk. Each day offers a choice between culture and countryside, allowing you to shape the experience to your mood. You may spend the afternoon exploring Delphi with a local guide, while walking among the ruins where the ancient world once sought guidance, with time to visit the museum and wander the town at an unhurried pace. Alternatively, step into rural life with a hands-on beekeeping visit, where you’ll learn traditional methods and enjoy a sensory experience such as tasting local honey, making natural soap, or sampling regional olive oil. Whether immersed in history or savoring the flavours of the land, every excursion feels personal, relaxed, and deeply connected to place. This evening you’ll enjoy dinner onboard our ship.

Parga, Greece
Onboard enjoy our daily Globe Insider Breakfast, as we sail into the beautiful Greek island of Parga. Life in Parga settles into a gentle rhythm, with each day offering a different way to experience the town and its surroundings. You may glide along the coastline on a guided kayaking tour, visit a local olive oil producer for a tasting, or stroll up to Parga Castle for sweeping views before lingering over coffee and an informal, salon-style conversation with a Globe journalist. Take the opportunity to stretch out on Valtos Beach, soaking up the sun and sea air, or heading inland to the cool, clear Acheron River for a relaxed nature walk, followed by a visit to the evocative Oracle of Nekromanteio. The days feel relaxed yet perfectly balanced, blending conversation, culture, and time to simply enjoy Greece at its most authentic. Later in the afternoon experience a Globe Journalist Talk and this evening we have dinner onboard before we set sail for our next Greek port.

Corfu enchants with its pastel-colored streets, Venetian architecture, and sun-drenched coastline that feels timeless. This morning enjoy a Globe Insider Breakfast followed by your choice of one of four daily excursion options including; you might explore the rolling countryside on a 4x4 jeep adventure uncovering hidden villages and panoramic views, or wander the cobbled streets of Corfu’s Old Town with a knowledgeable guide, discovering its Venetian palaces and vibrant squares. For a taste of local life, join an olive oil tour with tasting or roll up your sleeves in a hands-on culinary class at Ambelonas, learning to prepare traditional dishes with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Every experience feels personal and unhurried, blending culture, cuisine, and adventure into an unforgettable stay. This afternoon we host a Globe Journalist Talk. This evening we have dinner onboard.

Perched along Albania’s sunlit Ionian coast, Sarandë charms with its sparkling turquoise waters, palm-lined promenade, and relaxed seaside energy. Cafés spill onto the waterfront where locals and visitors mingle over fresh seafood, while narrow streets behind the main square reveal colorful houses, bustling markets, and quiet corners to explore. This morning enjoy a Globe Insider Breakfast as Globe journalists review the daily newspaper headlines. Today, choose from one of four daily excursions including; you might wander through the ancient ruins of Butrint on a guided tour, tracing the layers of civilizations that once thrived there, or venture into the lush countryside to marvel at the sparkling spring of the Blue Eye, where the water seems almost otherworldly. Closer to town, a guided walking tour of Sarandë reveals its charming streets and waterfront, ending with coffee and conversation with a local historian who brings the city’s stories vividly to life. This afternoon we host a Globe Journalist Talk with dinner tonight onboard.

Kotor sits tucked between dramatic mountains and a serene bay, its medieval walls winding through a labyrinth of cobbled streets and historic squares. The city’s blend of Venetian architecture, lively waterfront cafés, and stunning natural scenery makes every corner feel like a discovery. This morning we host our daily Globe Insider Breakfast before you head out on your daily excursion choosing from one of the following options; visit to an organic farm in the scenic Lustica Bay, where you can enjoy a freshly prepared farm-to-table lunch with a spectacular view, explore a nearby mussel farm to learn about Montenegro’s rich seafood traditions, then indulge in a unique dining experience with a seafood lunch and fine wine from an underwater cave, or back in town, stroll through the cobblestone streets of Kotor’s UNESCO-listed Old Town on a guided tour and discover its medieval architecture, charming squares, and artisan shops, pausing at a local eatery for a traditional snack or enjoy a guided tour of the modern Port of Montenegro, including a visit to its maritime museum, before savoring a leisurely lunch at a seaside restaurant overlooking the sparkling Adriatic waters. This afternoon enjoy a Globe Journalist Talk followed by dinner onboard the ship this evening.
